6 Years On.
What are people's characters made of? The world is complicated, confusing, and downright scary. Today, we contemplate what happened to us on the anniversary of the worst terrorist attack in human history. We contemplate how a country like America, the most powerful nation in the world, was asleep at the switch while thugs used planes to kill our citizens. We hoped that it couldn't happen, that the natural drag of security, and complications, would stop blind hate. We were wrong. Appeasement and isolationist policies by the Clinton, and other administrations, left the nation vulnerable.

So it happened, and 6 years have passed. Ask yourself which party is made up of those who go with the wind, who revel in our country's retreat. Which party won't even call radical islam by its name? Which party is home to the tin-foil-hat kooks who believe that 9-11 was a conspiracy committed by neocons? Which party supports open borders that make it easier for an even worse attack to be committed? Which party just wants to "pull them out" and not give a damn about what happens in the wake, even if it means more sacrifice and hardship for us in the future? They have proven it before - look up what happened in Cambodia. Their character is made of mush. It is important to understand that liberals only concern themselves with their own selfish, desires. That is what shapes their worldview, so much so that they fail to see it and blindly accept it as the way it ought to be.

Politics is politics , yes. I have no disillusionment that all GOP members are much better, but look at the sides - look where the people fall in the spectrum. By far, the GOP stands for success in Iraq, defeating our enemies, and closing our borders. Watching liberals revel in the "we have lost" argument is traitorous. I am not saying that the Bush admin has not made HUGE mistakes in the war. But you have to help - and all I see is selfish whining and a pure enjoyment in the failures that have befallen us. If another terrorist attack happens today, you watch how tough the dems will *sound*. Even Obama has thumped his chest and said how he is going to march into Pakistan and get Bin Laden himself. One minute they enjoy the 'robust diplomacy' and 'international cooperation' mantras that get the libs all in a happy haze, and then they are beating their chests about how they are going to smash the tribal region of Pakistan. They just reach out there to whatever feels good at the moment. They just lambaste Bush, while they can, not realizing that soon Bush will be gone.

It's not about Bush. It's not about the GOP. It is about the ideological struggle that played out 6 years ago in the streets of Manhattan. If the libs provided a modicum of support, for constructive, success oriented strength, imagine how we could wage this war. But they don't - because they are a farce, who are so disillusioned and lost they don't even know who the good guys are anymore. May God protect the poor souls who suffered on this day. Hopefully the character that made this country great can rise above the enemies within that are hell bent on changing it.
